Error when starting NGP Host Service

If port 20111 is busy when you install Axxon One (for example, because of nethost.exe processes that have not been unloaded since removal of the previous version), an error message regarding the launch of NGP Host Service appears.

To continue installation, free up port 20111 and try again.

Error when installing Drivers Pack

In some cases, you can encounter errors while installing the DriversPack:

Installation failed because the Universal C Runtime is not installed. Please run Windows Update and install all required Windows updates(KB2999226). You can download the UCRT separately from here: 'https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226'.

In this case, to correctly install DriversPack, you must install the Windows update KB2999226.

Error when connecting to the Postgres Database

After installation of the Postgres database, the Axxon One installer can quit prematurely. This situation can be associated with the inability of the installer to connect to the Postgres database if the firewall is enabled. To prevent this issue, disable your firewall during installation.

Note

Disabling the firewall during installation can cause another problem (see Camera).

Error when installing on Windows 11 OS with enabled Smart App Control

An error can occur when you install Axxon One and work with Smart App Control at the same time. To fix it, we recommend disabling Smart App Control before the installation.

Attention!

If you disable Smart App Control, you can enable it only after you reinstall Windows OS.

Window 10 OS installation error

When you install Axxon One on Windows 10.0.17763 and up, you can see the Create Recovery Archive error message.

To fix the error:

  1. Go to Control Panel → Clock and Region → Region → the Administrative tab → Change System Locale.
  2. Clear the checkbox Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support.
  3. Reinstall Axxon One.

Error when installing on Windows OS with the language pack Norsk (bokmål)

You cannot install the Axxon One Server on Windows OS with the language pack Norsk (bokmål) due to incompatibility with PostgreSQL.

You must install the Norsk Language Pack (nynorsk).

Usage of N or KN editions of Windows OS 

Axxon One is not guaranteed to work on Windows N or KN editions. For correct operation, you must install the Media Feature Pack.
